Claymar was founded in 2006 by Les Marchand & his two sons, Kel & Clay in Maurepas, Louisiana.
Claymar was founded in 2006 by Les Marchand & his two sons, Kel & Clay in Maurepas, Louisiana. The company consisted of 5 employees, 3 of which happened to be Les, Kel & Clay. The base of their location was a small steel fabrication shop under an oak tree in Les Marchand’s backyard.
Over the past 16 years, Claymar has grown into a full-service general contractor in the industrial construction industry.
The oldest son, Kel Marchand, is now the CEO and has taken sole ownership. Claymar continues to stick to its roots by maintaining a home base in Maurepas, but has also upgraded from the small fabrication shop built out of PVC pipe to now having a 10,000 sq. ft. Steel Fabrication Shop. Over the years Claymar has been known as a reliable Maintenance and Turnaround contractor to our many longstanding clients. In 2020 Kel decided to expand past General Maintenance and into Capital Projects; Claymar now has a Capital Division and a Maintenance Division, both of which meet and exceed expectations.
